This week here is a little push to help us enjoy the wisdom of the old, & the wisdom of youth, reminding us that there is wisdom everywhere!
Here is a nice start to your day:
Huston Smith: The Arc of Life:
Huston Cummings Smith (May 31, 1919 – December 30, 2016) was a religious studies scholar in the United States. His book The World’s Religions, originally titled The Religions of Man, sold over two million copies, was translated into 12 languages, and is still one of the most widely used college textbooks on comparative religion. Smith believes the role of what he calls the world’s “wisdom traditions” is a simple one: to help us behave decently toward one another.. He died on December 30, 2016
For more, check out this article on the World of Religion according to Huston Smith:
Smith has devoted his life to the study of Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Confucianism, and Hinduism. He believes in them all…
